By Air: The nearest airport to Ao Nang is Krabi International Airport (KBV), which is well-connected to major cities in Thailand and several international destinations. From Krabi Airport, you can take a taxi or a shared minivan to Ao Nang, which is about a 30-minute drive. Some hotels and resorts in Ao Nang also offer airport transfer services for their guests.

By Bus: Buses to Krabi are available from various parts of Thailand, including Bangkok, Phuket, and Surat Thani. From Bangkok's Southern Bus Terminal (Sai Tai Mai), you can take an overnight bus to Krabi, which takes approximately 10-12 hours. Upon arrival in Krabi Town, you can take a local songthaew (shared pickup truck) or a taxi to Ao Nang, which is about 20 minutes away.

By Train: The nearest train station to Ao Nang is in Surat Thani. From Bangkok, you can take a train to Surat Thani, which takes around 8-9 hours. Once in Surat Thani, you can take a bus or a minivan to Krabi, and then continue to Ao Nang by taxi or songthaew. The total journey from Surat Thani to Ao Nang takes about 3-4 hours.

By Boat: If you are coming from nearby islands such as Koh Phi Phi, you can take a ferry to Ao Nang. Ferries from Koh Phi Phi to Ao Nang operate daily, and the journey takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. There are also ferry services from Phuket to Ao Nang, which take around 2 hours. These ferry rides offer scenic views of the Andaman Sea and its stunning limestone formations.
