Hotel prices in Thailand are very affordable compared to other major cities. For a modest amount of money, you can enjoy a good standard of accommodation. Small single rooms are often priced similarly to hostels. However, the clear advantage of hostels is the ease with which you can meet new people.

There is such a wide selection of hostels that you will definitely find something suitable. Nowadays, many hostels also offer single or double rooms. Personally, I can't understand the appeal of hotels or hostels near Khao San Road. Khao San Road is not what it used to be. The clubs there compete with each other, blasting loud music, and the authentic backpacker vibe has simply disappeared.
