Discovering Sukhothai: Cradle of Thai Civilization

Visiting Sukhothai felt like stepping back in time. The Sukhothai Historical Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, showcases the grandeur of the 13th-century Kingdom of Siam. Wandering through Wat Mahathat, with its intricate carvings and towering Buddha statues, and Wat Si Chum, home to a massive seated Buddha, was awe-inspiring. Cycling around the park's well-maintained paths, especially to the serene Wat Sa Si on its lotus pond island, added to the magical experience. Sukhothai offers a profound connection to Thailand's rich heritage, making history come alive in every corner.
